We are now offering one of the “HOTTEST” new art forms—Glass Fusing. This fascinating craft involves nothing more than placing pieces of colored glass in shapes and patterns to create a design. The pieces are then “fused” together in our kiln. The result can then have findings attached to make pins, pendants or other jewelry, wall hangings, window valances, etc. or can be fired again over or into a mold to create dishes, plates, bowls, vases, or whatever else you might think of. If you like doing puzzles, you’ll love doing fused glass. Each and every “Glass Artist” in our studio is required to take our introductory class that teaches you the basics of safely cutting, assembling and firing “Fused Glass,” if you want to be able to come in and work on projects of your own. Our regular price for this class is $75 and includes making two small basic glass projects—a fused glass pendant and a little “slumped” wasabi dish. However, we also have projects that require little or no cutting, using standard pre-cut component, so you can come in and do these without having to take the class. Prices can vary according to the size and complexity of the project, and the type of glass you use. However, we will have standard projects that we will be offering from time to time for a fixed price, usually in the neighborhood of $15-$30.
