GTP’s 2010 Summer Art Camp
Registration is Now Open
Registration for Glazed to Perfection's 2010 Summer Art Camps is now open. The basic format remains the same as last year. The program will still be patterned after our Art Destinations Summer Camps which have run through the Montgomery County Department of Recreation now for 10 years. We have always had a packed program and fabulous feedback from all the kids. Many children—boys and girls alike—come for 2, 3, 4, or even more sessions, year after year. This program has been designed for children 8 to 15 to let them have access to lots of supplies and to allow them to create at their own pace, through experimentation, with limited, but targeted direction. We also use a lot of everyday items and transform them into works of art. There are few set projects—just a lot of ideas and materials for them to work with. In most programs, the kids will all make the same project and they all look alike. Not in our program. We have found over the years that children don’t want more school—they want fun. So we give it to them (but, they learn in spite of themselves.)
Becasue of when school ends and starts, we will have eight weekly sessions this year, while still taking off the week with the Fourth of July Holiday and leaving the last two full weeks before school starts open (we may run minicamps during one or both of those weeks.). Note that this year, we are only offering full day camps from 9 am to 3 pm. If there is enough demand, we may also be offering extended aftercare until 5 or 6 pm for a nominal fee.

Tuition: All-Day 9 am to 3 pm —$255 per child per session, payable at the time of registration. Register for multiple sessions at one time and take $15 off each additional session.

Session #3 — June 28th - July 2nd
Session #4*— July 12th - July 16th
Session #5 — July 19th - July 23rd
Session #6 — July 26th - July 30th
Session #7 — August 2nd - August 6th
Session #8 — August 9th - August 13th
*No camp the week of July 5th - July 9th (4th of July week).
**Campers may not be dropped off before 8:45 am and may incur additional fees if not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of camp. **Aftercare may also be available for an additional fee.

You will be notified ASAP if the session you requested is full. Transfer requests require two weeks notice and are based on available space.
